Mill Superintendent (Mineral Processing Engineer)
  • Location: Boungou Mine - Burkina Faso
  • Schedule: rotations 36/27 and 29/27 alternately
  • Reporting to the General Manager
  • Open-ended contract   

Drawing on your education and many years of practical experience (10 years and more) in mineral processing, you will assume full responsibility for the mineral processing mill and its related services. Your leadership will foster a culture of optimization and exchange of information and ideas to ensure the profitability and smooth operation of the mill. You will be able to communicate your enthusiasm for teamwork in a multicultural environment and your commitment to professional development. This is aligned with our organizational goals structured around employee training, compliance with environmental, health and safety (EHS) standards, and effective management of costs and human resources.

Main challenges and responsibilities

  • Manage all mineral processing activities and related mill operations (operations, maintenance, metallurgy and laboratory, energy), while respecting the corporate objectives, values and mission of the company.
  • Ensure that production, recovery, maintenance and cost objectives are met while respecting environmental, health and safety (EHS) rules.
  • Put in place all the necessary measures for the continuous improvement of mill operations.
  • Work closely with all mine services, including mining operations, mining engineering and mining geology.
  • Prepare the mill's annual budget, manage it and track it.
  • Produce regular reports on production and costs, recovery and consumption of raw materials.
  • Assess employees, help them develop their abilities and identify those with high potential.
  • Ensure the availability of materials and consumables.

Your profile and skills

  • University degree in mineral processing, metallurgical engineering or any other relevant combination of training and experience.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in managing a mineral processing mill.
  • Autonomy based on sound expertise and decision-making.
  • Bilingual (French and English).
