Reporting to the Superintendent, Plant Mill

Beyond your recognized mineral processing university level background and your minimum 5 years of experience in gold metallurgy, you have learned to materialize the goals of a company by focusing on team collaboration and empowerment. This remains your greatest source of motivation. It will inspire how you approach the planning, organization, direction and control of the metallurgical plant operations to ensure its success. In particular, you will enjoy challenges such as optimizing metal recovery, continually improving mineral processing processes and managing costs effectively.

Main challenges and responsibilities

  • Apply current operational methods and improve them to meet the objectives of quantity and quality of recovery, cost management, and compliance with environmental, health and safety (EHS) rules.
  • Participate in the plant's annual production budget in collaboration with the mining and geology departments.
  • Supervise and assist in the professional development of the members of your team.
  • Analyze operating data and prepare various reports, including metallurgical balances, dashboards, etc.
  • Manage the elution and casting room areas for the maintenance of surveillance equipment and safety procedures.
  • Coordinate the activities of the refinery and the elution circuit.
  • Plan requirements and follow-ups in materials and consumables.
  • Assume the responsibilities of the Mill Superintendent during his time-off periods and absences.

Your profile and skills

  • Recognized university degree in mineral processing or metallurgical engineering or any other relevant combination of training and experience.
  • At least 5 years of experience in the metallurgical sector.
  • Excellent planning skills and results-oriented.
  • Bilingual (English and French), both oral and written.
